Menstrual art exhibits honor the sacredness of menstruation and deconstruct the outdated taboo around this primal substance -
the very SOURCE OF LIFE itself. These exhibits are integral to re-shaping our cultural narratives about menstruation.
Together we are working to remind our community that
WE ALL BEGAN IN THE WOMB
and menstrual blood is the cyclical source fueling our existence.
Menstrual Art Exhibits
The first menstrual art exhibit produced by The Blood Sisters of the Red Temple, featuring menstruation and yoni-themed artwork from over 12 artists, along with vendor booths, yoni clay crafting activities, and live interviews with The Red Temple Podcast. This was the first of many events sparking the “REDVOLUTION” of our sacred femininity, and the reclamation of a truth long forgotten, that WE ALL CAME FROM A WOMB.
The second menstrual art exhibit produced by The Blood Sisters of the Red Temple, an immersive, introspective, non-verbal SHAMANIC WOMB CAVE; a sacred space for all to remember where we came from. This red dome, anchored in reverence with a Mother Goddess altar, featured menstrual blood cave drawings from 8 artists and a heart-centered chandelier with menstrual art from over 12 womb-holders across the globe.
